Homemade Pizza Rolls:

Serving Size:
about 15-20 rolls
Time:
Difficulty:
easy, beginner
  • BREAD DOUGH:( place all ingredients in bread maker and follow manufactures instructions to make BREAD DOUGH RAW)
  • 1 1/2 cup warm water
  • 3 TBSP oil
  • 3 TBSP sugar
  • 1 1/2″ tsp salt
  • 4 cups white flour
  • 2 TBSP fast-rising yeast
  • PIZZA ROLLS INGREDIENTS:
  • 1 cup marinara SAUCE of choice, I used Prego, I buy mine in bulk from Sams Club (get $20 egiftcard when you sign up with this link)
  • 2 cups MOZZARELLA shredded CHEESE, also bought from Sams
  • 1/3 cup white FLOUR for rolling out dough
  • extra marinara for dipping, if desired

Directions

  1. First, follow directions for your bread maker to make BREAD DOUGH, uncooked.
  2. Once dough has been made, and risen in the maker, turn over onto counter and cut the dough into 3″ chunks.
  3. Then create the chunks of dough one by one into rounds.
  4. Next preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit at this point, so it creates a warm space for your rolls to rise a second time. (more on that in step 10)
  5. Sprinkle a small amount of flour on work surface, and roll the dough to 1/4″ in height using a rolling pin.
  6. Then place pepperoni, cheese and 1 TBSP marinara sauce onto the dough. (Whichever order you prefer, I have noticed if you pour on the sauce first it is not a messy when pinched the edges.
  7. Now pinch top and bottom together, and remaining two sides forming a dough ball, with dough pinched at base.
  8. Flip the roll, seam side down onto the Silpat lined baking sheet.
  9. Finally continue with remaining rolls.
  10. Gently lay cotton dish rag directly onto rolls, a single layer and place in warm place to rise for 15-20 min. (Near the preheating oven would be perfect)
  11. Finally bake the pepperoni rolls in 350 degree oven for 15-18 min, flip roll over to check for doneness. If bottom is just slightly golden, rolls are done.
  12. Lastly remove from oven, let cool slightly and enjoy! Dip in remaining marinara if desired.
